The residence of Mr. Aoyama who served Mr. Matsudaira based in Dodomura. Mr. Aoyama, who was a senior vassal of Ieyasu Tokugawa, is the origin of the place name of Tokyo Aoyama because the vast Shimoyashiki (corresponding to the current villa) are scattered in Tokyo Aoyama.
