★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 国道418号が繋がって無い（事実上の廃道、将来水没するらしい？）ので僻地感がありますが紅葉を見に来て良かったです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 下流側からは道路が粉砕されて徒歩での通行も困難で、国道418号線自体も道が狭く、現地までの交通は注意が必要です。ゲートの数が木曽川水系の凄まじさを物語っていますね。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 418号線は日本の代表的な酷道として知られています。なかなか行く機会もなかったので栃久保棚田を見たついでに行けるところまで行ってみようかと思い立つも笠置ダムより先は工事関係者以外通行できない頑丈なゲートがあって一般車の通行はムリです。栃久保棚田を少し過ぎたあたりからもガードマンが立ち片側交互通行を強いられてものものしい雰囲気です。R４１８の酷道を探索するなら八百津町側からでないとダメということがわかったので次回行ければ行ってみたいですね。
Line 418 is known as one of Japan's leading slams. Since I had no chance to go there, I thought that I should go to the place where I can go while I see Tochikubo Tanada, but beyond Kasagi Dam there is a sturdy gate that only people involved in the construction can pass, so general cars are unfriendly. Even after a short time after Tochikubo Tanada, the guardman stands and is forced to alternate on one side. If you want to explore the rough road of R418, it turns out that it must be done from the Yaotsu town side, so I'd like to go there next time.

国道418号はこれ以上西には行けません。
行ってみたかったなー
