★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We tried the ramen and the black rice here. We got our food reasonably fast and for us it tasted very good. It' was perhaps not the best ramen i Tokyo, but still a decent effort. The condiments were suitable and the drinks were fine too. Good place for a quick lunch, but it's nothing fancy.

The noodle is similar to other Hakata style ramen. The soup is very deep, more towards the Sapporo style.
Overall it’s very good for a single eater!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I started with an orange squash soft drink. Orange flavor with a hint of something else. Very refreshing and served in a chilled mug with ice. It was only 90 yen, compared to the vending machines where it's typically 100-140 yen. I had the black garlic tonkatsu with the noodles cooked "common". The broth had excellent favor. I didn't need to add any of the seasonings that are provided at the table, everything from garlic to mayonnaise. The ramen was 870 yen, and additional noodle fills are 100 yen. There are both more and less expensive ramen available and there are a lot of add on options as well. There's plenty of broth for a refill, but I was satisfied with the one bowl. Orders are done through a tablet, but the staff are super helpful. A lot of the restaurants in the area close around 10, but Ichiryu is open until 1 am (if I read the sign right). There are single seats at counters and sets of two tops on the second floor. I don't know if they had larger booths on a higher level.
