岡山市の保存樹です。とても大きな杉の木でしめ縄がまわされています。古い杉の木で、丸太で補強されています。
樹齢千年以上とされる御神木です。昭和5年の社殿火災の火にあぶられ幹の空洞化と老朽化が近年進行し倒木の恐れがありましたが、沢山の皆様からの御寄付により平成16年に大手術治療が行なわれました。
