★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 夏の炎天下に行きました。クーラーが効いていて快適に展示を見学ができました。閉館時間の間際に行ったので空いておりました。主に地元の歴史や古墳の歴史が中心の展示でした。
I went under the scorching sun in summer. The cooler was working and I was able to visit the exhibition comfortably. It was vacant because I went just before the closing time. The exhibition was mainly about the history of the local area and the history of the tumulus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昔の事をよくご存じなお年寄りにはとてもいいと思います。昔の冷蔵庫やテレビや女学校の市川の時代やら為になることばかりな記念館です。おトイレもあり、ゆっくりとした時間を過ごせる記念館です。
I think it is very good for the elderly who are familiar with the past. It is a memorial hall that is only useful for the old refrigerator, TV, and Ichikawa era of girls' school. There is also a toilet, so it is a memorial hall where you can spend a relaxing time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 財政難の市川市の施設なので、あまり期待はしてませんでしたが、入館料無料で圧巻の展示内容。2階の企画展も秀逸。昭和世帯なら感涙ものでしょう。
障害者にやさしいスロープ付き、エレベーター有りです。歴史マニアなら1.5時間は潰せます⁉

館内に入ると、「コククジラ」の骨格展示がお出迎え。大きく迫力があります。（茶色い部分は本物）体長は 11～15m。体重は最大約 35t以上。出生体長は 4.5～5m。体色は全身灰色
国分台には貝塚遺跡群があり
縄文時代に食べていた大量のハマグリや土器や人骨が出土されています。
当時のままの原生林のある貝塚公園で散策もできます。
