★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the ancient tea house in Tokyo, you can just visit it or better take your time and enjoy a matcha tea with a sweetness for 600¥ sit down on a tatami mat with a wonderful garden in front of you. Big garden also behind! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful japanes garden, and the windows of rooms are well oriented to the nicest parts of the garden. You can rent out some rooms in the house for private group meetings or tea.
On the way from bus station you can visit a wonderful buddhist temple, too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is amazing! If you wanna get out of the city for little bit than come stop by here! You will for get that your in Tokyo. They serve wagashi ( 和菓子 it’s a Japanese desert) with iced or hot matcha! It’s around 500 yen to 600 yen depends on what you order. They also have desert menu with the pictures. It’s 100 yen for the enter the place. If you want have tea and wagashi. First, you have to order than pay at the front as together with the entrance fee. Second you will get a number or piece paper from the cashier. Than, find your seat and sit. The worker will deliver to where ever your at. Unfortunately when I went it was hot day so there was a lot of mosquitos so make sure you protect yourself from it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A place that bodies inherent good taste, elegance and zen. Only 100 yen to get in and you can also enjoy some Japanese sweets and tea at additional charge. Highly recommended. It would be advisable to take inspect repellent - I was bit a couple of times and you don't want those darned bugs spoiling your time there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tranquil haven out of the buzzle of the city. You can enjoy a matcha and sweet set while relaxing by a gorgeous private garden. I keep coming back here even after moving to the other side of Tokyo. The area is perfect destination for a short stay in Japan as well. The old town street with traditional treats and souvenirs is nicer than the hectic crowds of Asakusa, the temple famous for its wood carvings and this teahouse completes the set. Sundays are very busy though, so coming on a weekday is preferable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yamamoto-tei is the former residence of a businessman, but now opens to the public. The admission fee is just 100 yen and they also offer some Japanese sweets and drinks for extra fee. Beautiful Japanese garden and calming tatami-matted floor.
