Hostel provided better experiences than some of hotels. It is sparkling clean and well equipped. bunker bed is spacious. I, 1.74m, could almost stand straight in it. In late Oct weekdays it’s not very busy so the upper bunker bed is seldom occupied. During the meal time you can’t use the restaurant as the common area or for your own food. That’s the only down side. The meal is certainly more pricy, but the taste justifies what you pay (and the portion is larger than what they show in the pictures). Anyway, cheaper meals are available cross the road in the convenient store. I have a photo to show you just how near it is.

Luxurious hostel with great facilities and set up in a way that if very comfortable and there is a lot of privacy, even though everything is sleeping in the same hall. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and very friendly and helpful staff. They were very accommodating and proactive concerning our vegetarian diet.

We were very tired from cycling the full day from Onomichi and when we got to the hotel we booked it had closed down and no one was around. Just a stray cat sleeping on a shelf outside the abandoned building. We were able to make an emergency booking at IKIDANE HOSTEL. It was a little expensive on Air bnb and we only saw after we had paid that it was cheaper on booking.com. The staff were amazingly friendly and could speak english so well! The atmosphere was really professional and friendly. The place was clean and well layed out. The beds were really comfortable and there is a family mart comlnvinience store just opposite on the other side of the road. The showers are shared but they are individual cubicles that can be locked from the inside and each cubicle has it's own are where you can change and dry off in private. So you dont have to worry about seeing a bunch of naked people. They also have 2 hours from 20:00-22:00 which is only for women to use the showers. So if you are feeling uncomfortable then you can shower during this time. They have a resturant but if you dont choose to do the dinner or breakfast options then you have to wait for the free times which are posted outside the cafe and on the info leaflet in your room. The rooms have no doors but use thick curtains instead. There are lockable drawers and a safe in each room. Over all it was a fantastic night! Really really happy we could stay here and the Staff really made the experience top quality.

Very wonderful place to stay at! It’s in a convenient location with a very modern feel. I’ve honestly never stayed in a place as nice as this. The cafe also has some great options for lunch and dinner. The staff was super kind and able to communicate in English. Don’t be afraid to ask them for help with anything! I do have a couple of pointers for those staying in the twin room. After cycling for 4 hours, climbing the ladder to the top bunk is slightly torturous. At the top of the ladder, there is a post on the left that you can use to help pull yourself up, but nothing on the right; this made it a little harder to pull my fragile body up. Lights go out around 9PM. If you want to sleep before then, you might need a sleeping mask because top bunk gets a good view of the lights from the hall. During the colder days, the heater is turned up. For the folk on the top bunk, no blanket is needed as the heat rises right up to be a blanket for you. I really loved this place and would stay here again. I just want people considering a twin room to keep my pointers in mind to determine what kind of room is best for them!

This place is awesome. Stayed 4 Jul 21 and was very impressed. New facility and immaculately clean. Lots of cyclist amenities like stands, tools, and pumps. The staff is very attentive and thorough in communication. Stay local!

Great staff, excellent facilities (very clean), delicious food (get the karage!). Only thing I could have used more of was air conditioning, but that's only because I'm a warm sleeper. This was my first hostel experience and it was very enjoyable.

The idea of an affordable hostel at this location is good. Food is OK, especially the draft beer was nice. When we were there, only a subset of the food selection was available. Your chances of getting a "room" too close to a very-very noisy air vent are high! I could not really sleep, maybe 2 hours altogether. I felt very exhausted in the morning. So, i would say, despite the idea being good, the realization is really bad. I hope for an improvement..

Quite expensive considering it’s basically an upscale capsule hotel. Showers were good. Food was pretty good. Fast service. One problem I had was, that I asked for a lower bed but they refused my request. I'm well over 50 and had been riding all day. Not easy to climb about 3m up to my bunk anymore. Woke up to find that the lower bunk was empty, I would’ve liked to know that. Kinda recommend.
