し	しょぼん on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 法雲寺（浄土真宗本願寺派、山号は常恵山）は、慶長18年（1613）に当地住人の辻本又右衛門（定専坊教順（じょうせんぼうきょうじゅん））によって創建されました。本堂は大正時代中頃に建て替えた時のものですが、山門は江戸時代後期の造作とみられます。これは、楼門形式の２階門で、下階は四足門形式の１間１戸門となり、上階は３間に２間、中央間に花頭形をくりぬいた板を前後にはめ、他は連子窓（れんじまど）とし、周囲に組勾欄付の縁を巡らせています。昔は上階に鏡を吊るしていました。 Hounji Temple (Jodo Shinshu Honganji Temple, the mountain number is Mt. Joei) was founded in 1613 by Keio Mataemon, a local resident (Josenbo Kyojun). The main hall was built in the middle of the Taisho era, but the Sanmon is considered to be a late Edo period. This is a two-story gate in the tower gate type, the lower floor is a quadruped gate type 1-to-1 gate, the upper floor is 2 to 3 in the middle, and a plate with a flower head shape between the center is put back and forth, etc. Is a rendezvous window, and has an edge with a pair of columns. In the past, a mirror was hung on the upper floor.

It is a facility suitable for an open temple.

Very traditional in some ways but with they also support local kids by have basketball courts in back that are open to the public. Almost everytime I visit during the day they have games being played. The head monk speaks English and they have English classes once a month or so. Very nice people and a nice little temple.
