Pics include onsen inside room (which is limited to one a floor) and dinner/breakfast that is based on seasonal ingredients. The pictures don't do enough justice of how amazingly good this place is. I'd give it 7 stars if I could.
อ	อุ้ม on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great service! Staff are helpful and explain everything thoroughly. The rooms are pretty. Onsens are very nice, they also have private onsens. The restaurant us good too, they make soba fresh. Better to make the reservation before hand. Lawson is across the street!

The person at the recption helped us more than the turist info or even the guys from the bus ticket office. It was a pleasure to be hosted by such an amazing hotel!
L	Lesley Kit Mei on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an amazing stay at Hotel Tamanoyu. Take bus 32 from Matsumoto station to Asuma onsen runs hourly. Great place to relax and enjoy a view of the mountains. Definitely recommend using the baths and have breakfast included. Staff so above and beyond. Their service is amazing and treat us like family. They are very caring and put a smile on our faces every day.

Kind staff, relaxed atmosphere, awesome Japanese food, big and beautiful rooms in a Japanese style design and astonishing onsens :) It's not cheap at all but it was really worth to pay it. If you want to get relaxed for a while this is the place to be. BTW, seasons to stay there from my point of view, winter and autumn.

The manager / supervisor came later and he speaks quite good English. He helped us to check in, showing the room, reserve the onsen for us. I wanted to eat the traditional Japanese dinner but didn't make any reservations in advance. If you are planning to stay in this hotel, please eat their famous dinner for me! I love that they offer music entertainment. Unfortunately couldn't pay fully attention due to reserved onsen time. About the bed room. It is very clean, has that cool tech toilet and shower cabin. And the most important: the beds are very cozy and has fresh good linen! As a small gift they give us Japanese socks. I will never forget this hotel. Someday I will come back! Thank you for your hospitality!

Must book the outdoor rooftop onsen every night! Only minus ¥2000 or 20 min local bus ride away from station & shops/Citi Central. However it's quiet & peaceful. Loved a relaxing stay.
A	Alexie Mobley on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We could not have asked for a more relaxing weekend. The staff was beyond helpful. Right when we arrived we received tea and traditional Japanese desserts. Then we were shown to our beautiful room. We booked a room that included our own private natural hot spring bath. It far exceeded expectations. In the room, we also found beautiful tea sets and green tea to enjoy after being outside in the bath. It felt like a spa get away. We rented bicycles in the city for free and also used the city bus to get around. We did not have any issues with transportation. Taxis are also an option and the staff at the hotel has no problem going out of their way to make sure you are comfortable with whatever mode of transportation you prefer. At night there was live music at the hotel. In the morning, we had a delicious traditional Japanese breakfast. Western options are also available for meals.
