冬の日や馬上に氷る影法師 芭蕉
説明板に書かれているように、貞享４年（１６８７）冬、保美の杜国を訪ねる際、天津縄手（杉山町）で詠まれた句。
「あまつ縄手、田の中に細道ありて、海より吹上る風いと寒き所也」とある（笈の小文）。
昭和５６年（１９８１）１０月建立の碑。

As written on the explanation board, the phrase that was enshrined in Tianjin Nawate (Sugiyama-cho) when visiting Hakone's country in the winter of 16 years (1687).
"There is a narrow road in the field, and there is a windy and cold place that blows up from the sea."
A monument built in October 1981.
