 I think it was a very big cedar! The cedar stump on which the signboard stands is impressive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 7本あった杉の巨木を開山の利修仙人が1本を切り倒し本尊薬師如来等を刻んだことで残りが6本。故に六本杉。3本は枯れてしまった。残り2本は付近にあるが正確には記されていない。一本はおそらくこれだろうというのは見つかった。
There were 6 trees left after the 7 mountain cedar trees were cut down by Toshi Shujin from Kayama and carved the principal Buddha Yakushi Nyorai. Therefore Roppongi cedar. Three have withered. The other two are in the vicinity but are not marked exactly. It was found that one was probably this.
