★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A 302 year old soba restaurant ..in Hieizan Sakamoto ..Menu in English with photos , prices about 10 usd ..best time to go is about 4 ( last order at 5pm ) Holidays it is very very busy so not a good time to go . Also they will put visitors in the first room on the right , but if you ask you can sit in the back room , tatami with a beautiful view of the garden..If you mention Jonni you might get my seat ..the middle in the tatami room ( although it has tatami they now have tables and chairs ..enjoy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious food at a very reasonable price, also had a well written English menu which was appreciated. Go before or after visiting Mt. Hiei!
They also sell soba noodles that they hand make if you wish to take some home.
