★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 観光案内所や、軽食、お土産等があってなかなか良いです。天童といえばやはり将棋の駒ですね。ここまで将棋の駒に特化して、おしているのが良いのか、地方の小さな観光地としては、賑わっていて良いです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駅改札を出た斜め前の室内階段を下りた場所にあります。品揃えは豊富。レジの中年女性がビニール袋に無理やり詰めて渡してきたのは残念。

行った日は9月中旬土曜日でしたが朝採り野菜が並んでいました。
