★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The shop is just across the road of Nagoya main railway station, very convenience. I found the quality of the eel don is very good. The portion is just right for me. The eel is charcoal grilled onsite (as opposed to reheat of factory made eel). The skin and the meat is crispy and full of smokey flavour. As a fad nowadays, they also suggest eating the eel don (1) plain (2) with pickles; and (3) with dashi. All suggested methods are nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For foreigners, there is English menu. However, the portions that we received is somehow reduced once they know you are a foreigner. If you order Hitsumabushi (full set), becareful that you may get the tail portion and not much meat as compared to the next person. Just compare my set with the other photos posted here by others. The set that I got was chopped into small pieces of eel and not even a full portion. They didn’t even give me the dashi.
Overall, very bad experience and for others, beware that you could be shortchanged.

The interior is dark and wood-lined. The perfect location for eating such a traditional dish. If you don't know how to eat it already, there are instructions at your table.
The location couldn't be more convienant. The service was a little slow, but I chalked it up to the place being packed.
If you're looking for hitsumabushi, this is a solid - though not life-changing - choice.

But they have English menu. (foreign menu is ENG ONLY)
Employees are also wearing traditional Japanese clothes(KIMONO and YUKATA).
There is no break time between lunch and dinner, so you can enter anytime.
It's near Nagoya Station, but few foreigners come here, so there's no need for a queue, and if you go a little faster than usual meal time.
The price of food is twice to three times than the others, but it is well worth eating. And if you are novice, you can ask the staff for a spoon, but recommend eating it with chopsticks if possible.
The way to eat is on the table. It's written in English only. If you need any other words, search the way before.
I am from Korea, but I leave a postscript in English because this place is Koreans do not come. (May be)
