W	Wonsdor Ung on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All the 5 star reviews have it spot on, I've been to a few yakitori eateries, and this is surely the best one. The service was exceptional, the head chef made sure we were really welcome. The star of the show was of course the chicken. I could tell immediately in the way the chicken was cut, prepared, grilled, and presented, that every step was intentional with the sole purpose being to bring the best flavour out of the chicken. None of the organ meat had that gaminess to it, my partner normally won't eat organ meat, but she loved the chicken hearts. If you like chicken tail, you haven't had it properly until you've had it here. My favourites were the chicken skin and chicken neck, I could eat that all day here. We had a front row seat at the grill and all I can say is that the head chef has figured out the 'calculus' of yakitori. It seemed like even the type of coal he was using and how the meat was placed on the grill were important factors. This is one place I would go out of my way to come back to. I would also happily pay twice what I paid. In the end we had about 12 skewers, and this was after having dinner at another place!

The skewers are excellent appetizers and I highly recommend the meatball with mustard, absolutely delicious! The garlic chicken bowl is also tasty and if you are looking for different Japanese-style chicken foods, this is definitely the place. The waiters all speak a little bit of english and the chef/owner is very friendly and kind. Often they even give extra dishes on the house. P.S. The fried chicken skin skewer is fantastic! Excellent quality and speed of service, delicious fried chicken selections and fair price. I will absolutely come back to this restaurant next time I am in Kyoto!

If you are an adventurous type this is a great spot to try random bits of chicken offals. We were also given a number of little freebie tasters.
W	Will Danner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely unreal! We stopped in on Tuesday evening and got a reservation for Thursday night - boy was it with the wait! Everything about this place was spectacular. The food is incredible, service was above and beyond and the prices were unbelievably low. Make sure to order the following: -Meatballs -Oyster -Corn (if it’s in season) -Fried Chicken with _____ (I think it was citrus and onion but I can’t remember exactly. You’ll know the one when you see it on the menu)

The staff is friendly, the menu, varied and the ambiance, relaxed (movie/anime music playing throughout our dinner. There were a bunch of types of yakitori I had never tried before and most of them were delicious.
D	Dunstan Lee on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great service attitude and food! Try to make a reservation, cos it was full house by 7pm when we got there. Try their chicken tail, wings, chicken oyster, fried tofu and daikon salad with bacon. All in all a great experience.

It’s that family like spirit of Japanese restaurant. Note that it is warm inside. The Kyoto sake called shuhari is one of the best I’ve had cold. All of the food was good. Try the food that might be different for you such as chicken hearts. They were cooked perfectly.
