S	Sakura chan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ホテルの２階が駅の入口になっています。お土産も売っていました。特急も停車する飯田線の中でも大きな駅です。 The second floor of the hotel is the entrance to the station. Souvenirs were also sold. It is a large station on the Iida Line, where limited express trains also stop.

M	Masaki Sekijima on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 平岡は、天竜川流域に拡がる小さな町だ。駅前には老舗の旅館があり宿泊できる。天竜川流域の景色は息を飲むような光景だが、写真にあるようにＪＲ飯田線が山と川の境目を細々と走っている。飯田線を平岡から太平洋側に向かうと秘境度が更に増す。秘境旅行をする方は、平岡辺りを起点にして探索すると便利かもしれない。この周辺の自然は非常に美しく、山に入ると鹿やイノシシと遭遇することもある。夏は川遊びも出来る、忘れ去られた日本の原風景がまだ生き残っている場所とも言える。なお、写真の鳥から定食は駅に隣接する食堂で食べたものです。 Hiraoka is a small town that extends to the Tenryu River basin. There is a long-established inn in front of the station where you can stay. The scenery of the Tenryu River basin is breathtaking, but as you can see in the photo, the JR Iida Line runs along the boundary between the mountains and the river. If you take the Iida Line from Hiraoka to the Pacific Ocean side, the degree of seclusion will increase further. For those who travel in unexplored regions, it may be convenient to search around Hiraoka as a starting point. The nature around this area is very beautiful, and you may encounter deer and wild boars when you enter the mountains. It can be said that the forgotten original scenery of Japan still survives in the summer, where you can play in the river. The set meal from the bird in the photo was eaten at the restaurant next to the station.

な	なおかり on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 天竜村への玄関口な駅。傍らに4階建の立派な施設が建っています。4階は日帰り温泉で天龍温泉からお湯を運んで加熱しているそうです。3階には宿泊施設、1階には人気の食堂も。残念ながら歩いて行ける距離には飲食店などほなさそうな感じ。駅前もこれといった施設はなさそうでした。 The station that is the gateway to Tenryu Village. There is a magnificent 4-story facility beside it. The 4th floor is a one-day hot spring, and it is said that hot water is carried from Tenryu hot spring and heated. There are accommodations on the 3rd floor and a popular dining room on the 1st floor. Unfortunately, there seems to be no restaurant within walking distance. There seemed to be no such facility in front of the station.
y	ymk 883 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ JR飯田線無人駅であり当然ながら駅で切符を買うことは出来ません。しかしこの駅は天龍村の宿泊施設が併設されており、トイレは勿論、土産物等の売店、レストラン、日帰り湯まで揃っています。無人駅ながらも複合施設なので鉄道利用以外のドライブやツーリングの立ち寄り中継地としても利用価値大です。駅前には無料公共駐車場もあります。補足ですが、現在コロナ禍により日帰り湯は利用制限されておりますので御注意＆現地御確認下さい。 It is an unmanned station on the JR Iida line, and of course you cannot buy a ticket at the station. Next to the station there is a small souvenir shop and an onsen hotel. Interior and facilities are not new but clean. From here you can start your exploration of the Tenryu Okumikawa Quasi National Park or head into Toyamago and the Minami-Alps UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
