★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 子どもの水遊びにピッタリ。賀茂川上流にあり、水はきれいで冷たい。鴨川公園付近なら水深浅く、8歳位の子どもなら足を取られる心配もありません。万一流されても堰堤（ダム）で止まります。いまは緊急事態宣言発令中で鴨川公園と駐車場は閉鎖、付近は駐車禁止です。市バスで行けますが、緊急事態宣言下では川遊びをしているだけでも公園警備員から退去を求められますから、緊急事態宣言解除後に行きましょう。
Perfect for children playing in the water. Located upstream of the Kamo River, the water is clean and cold. The water is shallow near Kamogawa Park, and children around the age of 8 don't have to worry about getting caught. Even if it is washed away, it will stop at the dam. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 40年くらい前はダムの上にはアカハライモリが物凄く沢山いました。また、ダムの下には1mを超えるくらいのオオサンショウウオもいました。今はいません。ダムの上の西側を加工して憩いの場、みたいにしてしまいましたから、、、。
About 40 years ago, there were so many red-bellied newts on the dam. There was also a giant salamander that exceeded 1 m under the dam. I'm not here now. I processed the west side of the dam to make it a place for relaxation.

あの細やかな清流が時として、あんなはるか遠くから暴流と化して、かつ土石流となって都を脅かしていたのかと想像するとゾッとしますね。
その堰（せき）の近くに立って水音を聴いていると、都会の喧騒を忘れることができてすっかり気持ちも落ち着きます。この辺りではベンチなどが設置されていて、尚且つ車の通りも少ないのでお弁当持って出かけるのもありかも知れません。日当たりは結構長時間つづいています。
