近くには、水分れ茶屋というコーヒースタンドがあります。

2021年にリニューアルオープンし、展示内容も大きく変わりました。
最大のナゾである、「本州一低い分水界は如何にしてできたのか」を、分かりやすい動画で見ることができます。
スタッフの方による解説も聞けますよ。
歴史が好きな方なら、車で10分ほどの所にある春日歴史民俗資料館とセットでどうぞ。
また、分水界の低さが生んだ生物相への影響を知りたい方には、三田市にある兵庫県立人と自然の博物館の「氷上回廊」コーナーがおススメです。

入場料はかかりますが、丁寧に分水嶺について解説されているので良かったです。

リニューアル前の来場者は1日平均数人でしたので、リニューアルして来場者が増えることを期待しています。丹波市のアピールも必要ですね。

水分れ公園の周囲には新旧様々な説明の看板があるが全部読み飛ばしてミュージアムに行けばそれでいいです。
図や立体的な展示と合わせて詳細な説明文を読むからこそ理解できるので口コミ内の写真は雰囲気を掴む参考程度にして(リニューアル前の写真に注意)現地で詳しく学びましょう。
水分れ以外にも地質や昔の暮らしについても学べます。
