築造は西暦1800年と、富士塚の歴史の中では古い方に属する（最初のものは、1780年に江戸の高田（いまの高田馬場あたり）に築かれたとされている）。
あまり溶岩は用いられていないようで、ほぼ盛り土。頂上に富士山の「御釜めぐり」がシミュレートできるよう「火口」がある。また昔は「胎内めぐり」ができる横穴が掘られていたが、いまは埋められている。
皇太子殿下（2019年からは天皇になられる方）が来訪したという記念碑が建てられている。民俗に関心がおありと見える。その折は、すぐそばの日本料理店が宮内庁によって借り切られ、宮内庁の料理人が送り込まれて昼食を供した、という話を川口市内で聞きましたよ。

寛政十二年に丸参講の蓮見知重によって築造されたという。
富士講築造の富士塚としては県内現存最古。火口・お中道・胎内めぐりの穴などが確認される。
富士塚の傍らに神社があり，富士講碑（富士山を三十三度登ったことを記念する石碑，三十二度登ったことを記念する石碑）がある。
また，名号塔，伊勢神宮参拝記念碑，鹿島神宮参拝記念碑などが見られる。
山頂からは見沼通船堀を眺望できた。
富士塚西側面と胎内めぐりの辺りにがけ崩れを防ぐ補強あり。

山登ると遠くまで見えて景色がいいです。
駐車場ないです。自転車か徒歩で、きたほうがいいです。
子供が遊んでいました。子供からちゃんと挨拶してくれました。
皇太子殿下行啓記念樹の安行桜?がありました。
平成18年2月14日に視察に来たみたいです。宮内庁のホームページに、記録がありました。
国の文化財に指定されています。
隣にお店があるので食事ができます。
一部の史跡に拡大してみたらたぶん富士嶽神社となっています。
