★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 塩飽諸島の人名・与島総代岡崎、本島総代宮本清三郎が家族の菩提を弔うために弥谷寺に奉納するために作られた大地蔵です。台座に記名があります。しかし、この地まで運んできましたが大きすぎて弥谷寺まで動かすことが出来ませんでした。それでこの地にある訳です。地蔵本体が３ｍ、台座部分をも含めると４ｍあります。非常に重量があるため台座の地中部分は十分な基礎補強が行われているのが確認できます。この場所は天霧城主香川家の分家吉原香川組の後裔が遍路宿を営んでいたところでした。当事者から聞いたので間違いないと思います。
 This is a large Jizo made by Okazaki, the name of the Shiwaku Islands, and Seisaburo Miyamoto, the head of the main island, to dedicate to Yayaji Temple to mourn the bodhi of the family. There is a name on the pedestal. However, although I brought it to this place, it was too big to move to Yayaji Temple. That is why it is here. The Jizo body is 3m long, and 4m including the pedestal part. Since it is very heavy, it can be confirmed that the underground part of the pedestal is sufficiently reinforced. This place was where the descendants of the Yoshiwara Kagawa group, a branch of the Amagiri castle owner Kagawa family, ran a pilgrimage inn. I heard from the parties, so I think there is no doubt.
