喜	喜谷健太郎 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 三条市にカレーラーメンを食べに行った帰り道で『豪農の館』と言う看板を見付けた。どうせでっかい茅葺き農家でもあるんでしょ？え、入館料が４００円？高いなぁ…と思いながら入ってみると、そこは大名屋敷だった。この屋敷を作った田巻家は、大正年間に日本９大地主に数えられた大地主だったらしい。その田巻家が大正の不況期に今で言うところの公共事業として建てた田巻家の迎賓館が『椿寿荘』との事なのだが、その建物のレベルは大名屋敷並の重厚感。上段の間から三の間まではひと続きになっており、その広さは５０畳近い。濡れ縁は広く奥行きもかなりある。これらを構成する資材は、近くは会津、遠くは吉野から集められているとの由。これらの資材は全て釘を使わず作られているとの事。巨漢の喜谷さんが何処を歩いても、一切ギシギシしない確りした造りになっている。屋敷内から見る枯山水は京都の名門寺院並の完成度。何でも京都の庭師が作ったとのことで納得。表の庭は枯山水だが、裏庭には近くの山から引き込まれた小川が流れている。この手の建物は『昔は立派な庭だったけど、今は…』と言うケースが多いが、椿寿荘は現在も綺麗に維持されている。それが『豪農の館』で括られているのは、何とも勿体ない感じを受ける。しかも春と秋には一日二組限定だが、庭を眺めながらランチを頂けると言うのに… 枯山水の庭には随所に紅葉が配されている。もう少し秋が深まった所で近所にある『石油王の屋敷』と合わせて再訪問を企画しよう…(っ´ω`c) On the way back to Sanjo City to eat curry ramen, I found a sign called "Gono no Yakata".
