★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 事前の予備知識もまったく無く通りすがりに車内休憩も兼ねて立ち寄ったのですが、公園内には以前この場所で行われていた石油採掘の設備の遺構が残存していました。歴史とか特に興味がない人でも一度訪れる機会があれば、散策がてらに立ち寄ってもよろしいかと思います。
 I stopped by for a break in the car as I passed by without any prior knowledge, but the remains of the oil mining equipment that had been used in this place before remained in the park. Even if you are not particularly interested in history, if you have a chance to visit once, you may stop by for a walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 戦前日本に石油採掘が盛んに行われたこの新潟金津の地に、石油採掘の設備がそのまま残されている。
国の史跡と近代化産業遺産に指定されており、貴重な歴史遺産に位置付けられている。
石油の採掘から精製まで行う一通りの設備が残されおり、その一つ一つが見ごたえがある。
とはいえ、保存状態は良いとは言えないので、朽ち果てる前に整備が望まれるし、もっと多くの人に知られるべき場所だと思う。
In Niigata Kanazu, where oil mining flourished in prewar Japan, the oil mining equipment remains.
It is designated as a national historic site and modernized industrial heritage, and is positioned as a valuable historical heritage.
There is a complete set of equipment from oil mining to refining, and each one is impressive.
However, the condition of preservation is not good, so I think it is a place that needs to be maintained before it decays and should be known to more people.

隣接する里山ビジターセンターの2階は無料休息所になっていて、施設全体もきれいで良かったです。
