★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I sat down the sushi chef immediately recommended me to order the Kaiseki & sushi set, despite I have said I would like to order directly from the counter, anyways I thought I’d give it a try and ordered the most expensive course since it’s recommended and when it comes to a sushi place in japan it shouldn’t fail. I immediately regret my decision when the appetisers turns out to be mediocre, but its not until the sushi came out that made this a 2 star, all sushi came out on one dish, instead of having the chef handed to you one by one, this should never be a part of the most expensive course from a self proclaimed decent Japanese restaurant, let alone being a restaurant in Japan, the quality of the sushi ordered over the counter also seemed better. The entire experience felt like a tourist trap.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good sushi and dinner. There is a seating fee of 1000 yen per person if you do not order one of their full-course meals - even if you order the big/fancy sushi meals. Moderately expensive, however the quality of food is very high. Reservations are more than likely required - you can call or just show up and give them your information.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the chance to go here for a birthday dinner and got placed in a private room. Staff was attentive and friendly but only one waiter spoke any sort of decent English. That proved to be no trouble though as the menu also had English translations. Prices are fairly high but the quality of food was excellent. The sushi was outstanding and my friends filet was the most tender piece of meat I have probably ever tried. I would recommend this place for a nice, formal dinner and would suggest placing a reservation if you would like a private room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked the place through ikyu and enjoyed a smooth welcome when we arrived. We got the 9,500yen set which came with appetisers, sashimi, an assortment of grilled dishes and 11 pieces if sushi. Dinner was delightful! We enjoyed the dishes but may have found some of the items a little odd - eg the snail and the huge fish head soup. Service was warm but difficult as they couldn't speak much English, but a good, classy dinner place for date night definitely.
