It is amazing to see the stone Buddha statue of BC and the statue of Dainichi Nyorai, a national treasure, up close for free ❗ It is located on the 1st to 3rd basement floors, and on the 3rd floor, an easy-to-understand movie about the exhibition is shown. The screening time is fixed, but I think it's more enjoyable to watch the movie screening first and then see the exhibits.

Since it is a museum with free admission, where is it operated? I was wondering, but the credit that appeared at the end of the video screening solved the mystery. It's run by a new Buddhist religion, isn't it? It may not be bad to entertain Buddhist art purely. By the way, I wasn't solicited.

I visited for the first time at "Sanctuary of Asia-Kenro Izu Platinum Print Photo Exhibition". Great exhibition. I felt like a pilgrimage to the sacred place. The inside of the building is very clean, and the staff are very good and polite. I was able to appreciate it comfortably in a quiet space. A museum that you will want to visit on a regular basis. I am grateful that admission is free.

20211212 When I got off at Hanzomon Station to visit the JCII Camera Museum, I happened to find the information sign of the museum. According to Google Maps, it is a highly rated Buddhist museum, so I decided to go there. … In a very quiet space, wonderful reliefs and paintings of Gandhara art were exhibited, and I had a very luxurious time. In addition, the differences between the Buddha's names, Nyorai, Bodhisattva, Myo, and Heaven, which are used casually, and the life of Buddha are explained in a really easy-to-understand manner, which is very educational. I want to go there many times and be able to teach my family. Also noteworthy is the golden Dainichi Nyorai, who is enshrined in the permanent exhibition on the first basement floor! It had a tremendous aura, and its eyes seemed to see through all of me, and I felt great fear. Despite this high-level exhibition, admission is free. This museum is amazing!

It is located just after exit 4 of Hanzomon Station. Reservation required. You can watch the video in the exhibited works and the theater. The early works of Unkei were exhibited. The inside of the building is beautiful and the concierges will take care of you.
