★ ★ ★ ★ ★ とても道は整備されていて途中の駐車場から徒歩５分以内で城跡に着いた。
 The road was very well maintained and we reached the castle ruins within 5 minutes on foot from the parking lot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 中世における新堀氏、江刺氏の居城だそうです。
頂上は平坦地になっていてその一角に「跡石」と呼ばれる人の背丈以上の大きな石が横たわっていました。ベンチも3脚ほど設置されています。木々が生い茂っているので見晴らしが良いわけではありません。
ここに至る経路は2つあるようで、今回、何気なく新仙寺側から行ってしまいました。林の中に入ってからは途中で道が分からなくなり、蜘蛛の巣が張った藪を掻き分け、断崖のようなところをよじ登ってようやくたどり着きました。
もう一方のルートは新仙寺の下側を通っている生活道路に「新堀城址」の看板が立っており、そこから草が生い茂った未舗装道路を昇っていきます。途中、駐車場があってそこから先は徒歩で行く必要があるようです。

The summit was flat, and a large stone called a “stone” was lying in one corner. About 3 benches are installed. The view is not good because the trees are overgrown.
There seem to be two routes to reach here, and this time, I went casually from the Shinsenji side. After entering the forest, I couldn't find the way, and finally I reached the cliff like a cliff by scraping the spider web.
The other route has a sign of “Shinbori Castle” standing on the street of the living road that passes under Shinsenji, and it rises from the grassy dirt road. There seems to be a parking lot on the way, and it is necessary to go on foot from there.
