★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very hospitable place, with extremely friendly and helpful owners. The whole house is comfy and carpeted, with sofas, chairs and tables for sitting.
There are 2 kinds of rooms to choose from, a tatami room and westernized rooms, which appeals to both Japanese and foreign visitors. There are area guide pamphlets, towels, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and mountain water available too. Their breakfast is especially delicious, with fruit from their garden.
The owners are also very willing to talk and share their stories.
The best feature is the garden with a variety of plants, which is very attractive to both people and naturally, insects.
The only problems are bugs at night, and its location which does not show up in car GPS, only on other maps. Phone signal is not really good there too. It took us a while to arrive, but all in all this is a great cozy place to stay in.
