Hakkakuko Park - Togane

Togane City Landmark It is an artificial lake that you can see when you climb up the slope, 5 to 6 minutes on foot from the station. Originally from my hometown, I was born and raised in this neighborhood, so the park here was a playground when I was a child. It's about 700m around, and it's about 30 minutes if you go around 4 laps quickly, so it's perfect for a walk. You can see flowers every season, but the cherry blossoms ? planted on the shore of the lake are wonderful. The appearance of the illuminated cherry blossoms reflected on the surface of the water is fantastic and wonderful, as it has been selected as one of the 100 best views of cherry blossoms at night. This Lake Hakkaku was visited by Ieyasu Tokugawa, who opened Edo, as a falconry ground, and it is said that the high school (Togane High School) standing by the lake was built on the site of an accommodation facility for falconry. The starting point of the Onari Kaido (from Edo to Togane) is behind the high school. The two temples and shrines that stand across the lake are old and the temples are wonderful, so if you have a chance, you should take a look. The old road under the slope has developed as a castle town because of the castle, but now the shopping street is completely lonely and has become a shutter town. The building was destroyed and there was only a parking lot, but there are still a few old buildings that can be looked back on. If you want to ☕ in the middle of a walk, we recommend "Rhubarb". It is located a little down the narrow slope from the lake. You can enjoy organic cakes. The curry is delicious ? After Mr. Rhubarb, there is a public bath bathhouse from Showa ♨ If you come by car, you should park at the parking lot of Saifukuji Temple. The recommended walking course is ① Station → Lake Hakkaku → Hiyoshi Shrine → Rhubarb ② Station → Lake Hakkaku → Sannodai Park → Rhubarb By the way, you can take out at Deko, a coffee shop at the station rotary. It's a specialty coffee, so give it a try ?

As of March 27, 3rd year of Reiwa At the recommendation of an acquaintance, I visited cherry blossom viewing. The car was congested because it was Saturday and the cherry blossom season overlapped. Even so, there were staff in the park and the traffic was well organized, so it took some time, but I was able to park my car safely in the parking lot. It was my first visit to the park, but the guidance of the staff was easy to understand. The road around the lake was a one-way street. There is a promenade around Lake Hakkaku, and cherry trees are planted all around. I think it is very beautiful depending on the timing of the cherry blossoms. Personally, the walking distance is neither long nor short, and it feels just right. There is also a bench in the rest area where you can rest. There were about 8 to 9 food stalls near the parking lot.

Equipped with parking lot and toilet. Above all, it is quiet and not too wide, and you can easily go around while watching the scenery. It was also very good for my dog's walk (be sure to clean up the poop) and I enjoyed it.

It was a pity that it was cloudy after the rain. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom. I think it would have been great if it was sunny. There were stores such as okonomiyaki and takoyaki.

It is a park with a laid-back atmosphere on the shores of a lake (pond). There are no playsets, but it may be good for a walk with children. The cherry-blossom viewing season should be quite lively. (That was the case when I was attending a school next door.)
