★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cheap, clean and great hot spring inside or outside. You can have lunch/dinner at the restaurant section with reasonable price. But it's a bit hard to spend this place whole day with little kids because the space is not that big. Only Tatami space has kids books.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want to save money bring your own towel. (Towel costs around 300 yen) but a nice place to relax after a long hike. They have a restaurant too.
They have massage services as well but didn't try it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They’re really accommodating to climbers and joggers so I appreciate this real hot spring that is within walking distance to the train station. Unfortunately we cannot adjust the water temperature of the shower stalls or see the mountains while sitting in the outdoor bath but when you stand up, you can see Mt Fuji too if you peek over the fence. The sky is always within view and wide and splendid.
It’s one of the best public hot springs I’ve been to. Japan in its element. I stayed 4 hours.
