★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got the combo ticket for access to the pools and the onsen area - definitely recommend! The pools have a bunch of children and it's a little loud but it was very fun to splash in the different areas. (The wine bath and the limited time Evangelion terrace jacuzzi were the best!)The onsen was a great way to end the trip, to relax in the outdoor baths in the summer breeze with cicadas singing~ Very peaceful and relaxing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was quite nice but :
1) I thought Japan had a "もったいない culture" but apparently I was wrong: at the entrance, you have to put your shoes in a non reusable plastic bag that is directly put in a big plastic bag when you go out. ...why not using reusable plastic bags for shoes? What a waste. Yunessun clearly don't care about the environment.
2) the parking is very expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was fun took my family there. It was raining and cold out so some part was closed but we still went down the slide. The water is really nice. My 10 month old loved it. I liked it because there is no smell of chlorine even inside unlike any indoor place in states.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yunessun is a great place to chill and spend the day. It is kid friendly and has the traditional aspects of an onsen as well as the fun elements of a themed onsen setting.
I only went to the themed general areas instead of the traditional onsen. You can choose what areas you will visit at the entrance. There are usually coupons on the webpage and if you follow their LINE account.
The general setting has a main big pool and then you can visit the other themed pools such as the red wine pool, the coffee pool, the green tea pool, the sake pool and this month there was a chocolate pool that you would pay an extra ¥300 yen to enter. You don't need to have cash or card on you as every purchase is linked to your arm band.
There is a slide outside as well as a kids play area and another large pool. There is a food area in the general pool area and relation areas to cool down.
I highly recommend visiting if you're in the Hakone area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having never been to anything like this, everything was new to me. The hot baths were wonderful. I tried almost all of them with the exception of the sake bath and the chocolate bath and the one with the small fishes that tickle your feet. My favorite was the wine bath. It smelled so nice and it made my skin tingle. I will definately go again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been here before and this time was bad no social distancing when in the line and no staff doing crowd control. The floor walking to the pool was dirty and locker floor slippery no where to dry your feet. Coming out of the locker. The toilet at a train station in Tokyo Japan as cleaner. Hardly any staff around to ask for help or info. Kids fighting in the pool and the life guard too busy. Flying fox was not even working, leaves and rocks in the pool. Needs upgrading and the water was hot for a pool felt dirty for a water park

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just rent the tiny towels. I had to lug around my giant beach towels. I went in the summer so we never got cold. Winter might be different. Hit the fish thing before you left your kids do anything else. If you don't the line will get long on the afternoon. Also, the fish eat better in the morning. Unless you really want to do the onsen then just get the swim suit area ticket.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can come here from 3pm for cheaper entrance, you wouldn't want to stay for a day anyway.it's not as what i expected.it was just like an ordinary onsen with themes and slides for children.the view wasn't that good. The location wasn't good also,it's far and scary at night,we drove using high beam lights because the road curves are extreme.parking is 1,300 and entrance fee is expensive.there are no amenities only hair dryer.they have shampoo, conditioner and body soap anyway.bring your own towel and swim wear!
