★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 美濃路沿いに鎮座することからなのか、商売屋さんの屋号の入った灯籠や玉垣が見られました。
境内は正方形に近く、集会所や忠魂碑があり意外と広いです。
昔は名鉄電車が境内裏を通っていたようです。

名古屋市西区枇杷島三丁目に鎮座する八幡社(はちまんしゃ)
1529年(享禄2年)には北の位置に鎮座していたとの事で、1612年(慶長17年)に現在の地に御遷座した経緯があります。
愛知縣神社名鑑には以下の記述があります。
「寛永年間、藩主義直、鷹狩をこの地で催す。獲物多く以来藩主の崇敬あつく狩り度毎参拝を例とした。鷹八幡の俗称あり。」
上述の経緯からか鷹八幡(たかはちまん)と通称され、江戸時代には年貢が免除された神社になります。
祭事に関して管理人の方が殆ど常駐していらっしゃるので、奉納されたい品を持っていくと丁寧に対応してくださいます。また「鷹八幡社御守護」と書かれた御札を頒布しており、初穂料300円～500円ほどで頂けます。

Hachimansha is located in Biwajima 3-chome, Nishi-ku, Nagoya.
It is said that it was enshrined in the north position in 1529 (Kyoroku 2nd year), and it has a history of being relocated to the present location in 1612 (Keicho 17th year).
The Aichi Shrine Directory has the following description.
"During the Kanei era, falconry and falconry are held here. Since many prey, the lord's revered hot hunting degree has been taken as an example. There is a common name for falconry."
For the above reasons, it is commonly known as Takahachiman, and during the Edo period it was a shrine that was exempt from annual tribute.
Most of the managers are resident about the festival, so please be polite if you bring the items you want to dedicate. In addition, we distribute a bill with the words "Takahachimansha guardian", and you can get it for about 300 to 500 yen for the first ear.
