俳祖 芭蕉
と刻んだ碑が建っている。寛政４年（１７９２）建立の碑。
裏手（北側）に弘法大師が掘ったと伝わる井戸〔玉の泉〕がある。西行は、
岩にせく阿伽井の水のわりなきは
心すめどもやどる月かげ
とこの井戸を詠んでいる（説明板による）。
