Wasnt able to eat my order due to the staff not knowing that bacon and pork are from the same animal. Offered me the curry dish without the sauce to adapt to my needs when it was too late for them, naturally i declined to eat a non curry dish when i was there for curry. Then tried to force me to pay the full price. They were later gracious enough to cut 50% off the bill for me at my request since I didnt touch the food. Please learn some basic English if you are going to operate a restaurant with such a prominent historical background such as the birthplace of katsu curry; especially when you're located in ginza.

Small but welcoming restaurant in Ginza with a claim to a slice of culinary history as the birthplace of katsu curry in 1948. We had exactly that, which we polished off with alacrity along with a white chicken soup which seemed to be provided as a free appetiser. Excellent service and a place with genuine appeal.

This small restaurant originally did invention of Japanese cutlet curry. This rich and tasty Curry is made with the minced pork-meat. Excellent and it was the best in town!

We ordered Chiba curry rice and sirloin curry rice. The deep fried pork and the beef were great. The curry is nothing but ordinary.

So good!! Small spot tucked away but worth the wait if there is one. Omurice was really good, they have an English menu with pictures (makes it easy to order). Highly recommend for and authentic Japanese experience

dont know why this place always attracts a crowd. perhaps due to its history as one of the first tonkatsu curry shops in Tokyo. will have to try at least once and update my ratings accordingly.

I like the food very much. I just simply checked on Google Map for a popular restaurant in the area and this one come up first, so I decided to visit. I had Chiba’s pork curry, which was the recommendation of the restaurant. The curry is very rich texture, so you don’t need to use spoon but fork is enough. Everything was fine till the time I payed. The elderly lady started to give instructions and scold the other staff. I think it is very unprofessional to do such things in front of the customer(s). I like the restaurant but because of this rude behavior, I took alway 3 stars.
