A	Alexis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing breakfast. I had the New York style Breakfast with some really fluffy pancakes. The service was really good as well, they care a lot. The music and the installation they have is really good. You can enjoy the music, athmosphere and still have a conversation with your partner. The decoration is really nice and you can enjoy watching the chef cooking in the open kitchen.

There were only four other tables occupied - tried to order the American breakfast and was told it would take an hour??!!?? Because of the pancakes??!!?? Ordered their pastrami eggs Benedict which came out cold, wife a cheeseburger which came out burnt and with ligaments making for a chewy and half uneaten meal. Nice interior (worth the 1 star needed to make this post I guess) but not going there again. Felt sorry for the waitress who was apologizing profusely.

The server was honestly rude, in addition to the fact that she had difficulty taking my order, messed it up anyway, and then recommended me a menu item that was just awful. I had the avocado toast which was a single slice of un-toasted bread, topped with cold avocado (like straight out of the fridge cold) and a cold undercooked poached egg. If you're into eating slimy and cold egg this might be for you, otherwise stay far away from this place. There is nothing American about it whatsoever. I literally had to get out of my seat to ask the bartender to make the drink I actually ordered and the server just stood there awkwardly (?) It was obvious I needed something and she just stared at me blankly. The bartender is the only saving grace in this place as she was really kind. Otherwise a horrible experience and I will never go back here.

T	Tokyo Diary on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice cafe in Ebisu. We visited Gitane New York on a Saturday morning, after making our reservation a day before. It has a nice interior and friendly staff. Customers seem to be mostly Japanese families and friend groups (It is Covid 19, and quasi state of emergency, so no foreigners in Japan in general ). It can also be a good place for a date. We ordered both of the Egg Benedicts (salmon and pastrami) with coffee latte, and paid around 2700 yen per person. I fully enjoyed my pastrami one, while salmon was just OK for my friend. Coffee was good. Portion size was not small at all (for Japanese people or foreigner ladies). It might be ok for some foreigner guys as well, but big ones might want to go for meals that come with fries instead of salad. I can definitely go back for pastrami egg Benedict or to try a new dish. Good atmosphere, good food.
