My husband knows Antonio and arranged a special date night at this new place recently. We were blown away by the unique flavor combinations in the tasty salads, seafood, steak, dessert. English is not an issue, great wine offerings, and very flexible for big groups (easily seat 10 or 20!). We will definitely be going back and we look forward to trying at lunchtime too. Very convenient location too!

This is one of those places I'm afraid to write a review for, because I don't want the secret of how amazing it is to go public.... but that is going to happen anyway. The Burn is a fantastic restaurant, from food to service, everything is great. You can tell Chef really cares about the food he serves, as the quality of ingredients and the preparation are both top notch. The staff is extremely professional, courteous, and friendly. Many speak English fluently, which is nice, but not a necessity in Tokyo. The beef is all Japanese, but served American steak house style, which makes for an unforgettable meal. In addition to being a dedicated carnivore, I actually really enjoy vegetables, and all the starter/side vegetable dishes balance out the perfectly cooked meat.

Inventive and delicious food with lots of vegan options and some of the best wine by the glass I’ve had in Tokyo. Service also very good. Tempted to take a star off as it’s a bit pricey for a place that connects to the station in the basement of an office, but that probably wouldn’t be fair.

While the food is in fact good here, the Burn described in the name is to your ego and wallet. This is a quintessential New American restaurant as as it is in the US it leaves you feeling ripped off. You find out when you pay that there’s a ¥1400 table charge for 2 via bread and there’s a drink minimum where soda is ¥800. You also don’t know the prices of individual items until after you ordered. The result is - you find out after the meal that it’s almost 50% more than you expected. In short, this is the type of restaurant where you spend ¥11,000 and aren’t full.

The Burn in the Aoyama area has been on my bucket list since it first opened about two years ago so I knew I had to try it as soon as I arrived in Tokyo. The chef and owner of the restaurant is Chef Fumio Yonezawa, who is a former chef at Michelin star restaurant Jean-Georges in New York and Jean-Georges in Tokyo. Since we got to Tokyo during the COVID State of Emergency, we only did takeout, but we loved everything about this restaurant from the chic and modern interior design to the food and service. We got the cheddar beef bowl (we highly recommend adding a sunny side up egg to it) and the steak bowl on our first visit and loved both. The steak is simple yet flavorful while the cheddar beef bowl is almost like a combination between a chili bowl and sukiyaki beef. Once in a while they have the wagyu hamburger steak for takeout, but they only have 30 orders and it usually sells out within 30 minutes. We were lucky enough to get a set this past weekend and would definitely want to order it again the next time we can place an order of it. Each set comes with two patties and pasta. The chef recommends that you eat about half of the hamburger steak as is and then break it into pieces to make it into a bolognese pasta at the end. The restaurant is inside the basement of the Aoyama Building and is a little hard to find if you’re coming from street level so I recommend going from the exit inside the Aoyama Itchome Station.

Nice atmosphere ? haven't tried the signature steak yet unfortunately. The "Mexican Steak don" (steak over rice) I had for lunch was a bit overcooked but come to think of it, they never asked how I would like it cooked which is unfortunate for a place known for steak.
