As a huge fan of Japanese green tea, I was eager to try out their genmaicha. They have a special way of preparing their tea leaves (not too sure how it was) and the taste of the tea was indeed a little different than what I was used to (but in a good way). There was an umami aftertaste to the tea that was delicious. My girlfriend tried the yuzu soda which I think they made with fresh squeezed yuzu. It was perfectly refreshing and not overpowered by added sugars. What was cool about this place was the chill atmosphere and the old-school cool décor (for instance, the wall behind the bar was covered entirely in cassette tapes and the walls and floor were exposed concrete). The server spoke English, which was appreciated, and there was also a book that they had produced containing detailed information on the taste profile, steeping temperature, etc. for every one of their teas. They also sell loose leaf tea at the café, which would make for an excellent souvenir to take home. I'd highly recommend this little place in Udagawacho!

It gets quite packed after a few groups stay in for the drinks. Good spot for a change from Tokyo coffee culture. Recommended!
S	Sean LeClaire on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This has become one of my favorite tea cafes in Tokyo. It offers a wide variety of Japanese green teas and unique types of tea for sale. I highly recommended their cold brew green tea with yuzu. The shop is also unique with its cassette decor, minimal design, and it plays cassettes on vintage boom boxes. They play great eclectic music from Japan and abroad which adds to the great atmosphere. It’s a perfect place to go when in Shibuya if you need a nice break from the busy streets and a great cup of tea. They also have an English menu for foreign customers and their staff is very welcoming.
