I wasn't very heavy in to sushi.. but at Gansozushi, it took me all of 10 seconds to conclude that I was in fact eating the best sushi in my life. And Gansozushi is a kaiten (spinning) sushi place, nit traditionally known for exceptional quality. Well, it's worth checking out Gansozushi just to learn what sushi is supposed to taste like, or what sushi should at least aspire to taste like. The seafood handling is done with such passion and skill.. each sushi and slice of fish just looks. so. beautiful. It's good to just study that, and use it as a reference point when analyzing other sushi. There's sushi... and Gansozushi is just somethin' else.. a league of its own. A shoal? school of its own? Depends on the season, but must try: iwashi, buri harasu, salmon harasu (toro salmon), hamachi, ika (squid) is always fan-frickin-tastic.
