Copy the inscription of the local memorial monument as it is " inscription On July 11, 1995, the heavy rain on the rainy season that began to fall from early dawn changed the appearance of a lush and peaceful mountain village overnight. Over the entire Himekawa basin, the mountain surface collapsed, landslides occurred, roads were cut off, and many villages were isolated. A large-scale earth and stone flow also occurred here in Kambarazawa, and a large amount of earth and sand flowed out to Himekawa, and the new Kokukai Bridge completed in November of the previous year was also washed away. On December 6, 1996, when the construction of the Sabo Dam and Jiyama Dam and the restoration of the New Kokukai Bridge were being carried out in Kambarazawa in order to recover the area from this disaster and protect the safety of the area, a large scale was carried out again. An earth and stone flow occurred. Fourteen precious lives were lost in the sudden storm of earth and stone. It was a disaster while people who came to work in this area from far away Hokkaido, Aomori, Iwate, Akita, Kanagawa, Itougawa and Matsumoto were involved in the construction. In addition, this landslide disaster was also a disaster that newly proposed to us that it is necessary to develop means for predicting and predicting the occurrence of landslides in consideration of snow melting. We offer our condolences to the fourteen spirits who have been working for the conservation of the land and the development of the region, and pray for eternal peace. At the same time, we have weathered the lessons of the next disaster. In order to pass on this historical fact to posterity without letting it go on, we will build this memorial monument in the hope of further development of the region. November 1997 Shizuka Kamei Minister of Construction in the event of a disaster 』\

I read Kanbarazawa. Immediately after leaving the border bridge. After the 1995 flood, a desolate landscape spread from this vicinity to the downstream, whether it was the end or beginning of this world. Originally, this area is so unstable that it cannot be touched, and the upper stream is still unrestricted. In conjunction with the “Mt. Kamata collapse” in the Meiji era, it is recommended to investigate the geological formation in this vicinity.

I was planning to go to Unazuki Onsen for work at the time of this disaster. It was canceled due to this incident, but I still remember how many people died and were shocked. The debris flow was shown on TV news, but the power of nature was amazing ...

A superb view touring spot. There seems to be a field hot spring nearby. A super dangerous zone with slope collapse. Located at the western end of the large fault zone called Fossa Magna. On December 6, 1996, at 10:40 am, a debris flow disaster occurred due to expansion and collapse at an altitude of about 1300 meters, and 14 precious lives were lost. As long as you look at the powerful rock surface, you can feel that if you take a bath licking, your life will become irritated. If there is an earthquake, falling rocks will be inevitable. The spring quality is weak salt spring. It seems to be springing up in some places, but it is hot enough to mix with the water of the river.

Among the names of the construction workers in the inscription was the name of a female worker. Some people still said this in this era. Many of my sack-sized people were patient, and in the days when Hijikata worked for anything and supported his family, there were many plump and strong women. I felt that it was such an age. You probably worked for a local civil engineering company. I feel sorry for being involved in such a disaster. However, it was cleaned with a solid memorial and monuments and got off. I feel that the evaluation is a little strange with ★, but if you add it, I will leave it as a perfect score.

The red old Kokukaibashi Bridge standing quietly, Kamawazawa like a waterfall or a waterfall, the current road cut through by a tunnel and a bridge, the large meandering Himekawa River, and the Kuzuba Pass that stands in Himekawa. All the sights you see will be traces of a long-standing battle between humans and nature. There are no vending machines or toilets, but it's a great place to stop and look and enjoy nature.

I wasn't born yet when this disaster happened, but I found out that it was a very horrific disaster. I could still see Kambarazawa flowing like a waterfall from a nearby bridge.

The reason for this memorial is really sad- 14 people died in the landslide while rebuilding the road after a flood in previous year.
