★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a long day of shopping in Akihabara, GABA offered a great meal! Even though it is a busy area, we didn't waited at all. Complete meal at reasonable price, and you can choose white rice or brown rice... Also let's don't forget the tea which was amazing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great and inexpensive rice balls. Loved the multi-grain one! Hits the spot after a long day of shopping. Wish I had time to enjoy their sit down menu. Definitely bookmarking this as a "Must Do" for our next trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food, nice venue, pleasant service. We stopped for lunch. It was good overall. Like many Japanese restaurants, it can be a little difficult to order without knowing Japanese, but the gentleman who helped us was pretty patient with us despite the language barrier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their signature Gaba rice taste great, definitely one of the best rice I tried. They offer daily specials at cheap price. Overall their menu are healthier on paper, karage chicken are rather thin in coating but I think thats by design. Serve size can also be small, overall more suitable for female customer who doesnt eat much. Good dinning atmosphere as well.

The waiter that served us tried his best although he has limited English. Offered us an English meau. I was surprised at some bad reviews due to the service received; however, those reviews used "she" so it must have been incidents with a waitress (not here today).
Food was good. Fried chicken was crispy and flavorful. The one with the yellow sauce tasted like hollandaise sauce with curry twist to it which I really liked as well.
Price is very reasonable as well. The set (including rice, miso soup, and the main dish) was 660 yen to 730 yen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you ever thought to eat french fries with chopsticks... this is the place.? Great and unexpected Japanese flavours on an European dish. Super taste in each onigiri and desserts are just wonderful. Definitely a great place to eat in Akihabara.
