★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 岩国から吉賀町へ行く方面の入り口に命の看板の電話があります。そしてその手前に多くの廃墟があり、その多くが元々お店だったみたいでかつては栄えていたのかと思います。橋の中ほどまで行くと飛び降り等を防止する柵のワイヤーが上下に2本ほど切断されており、とても生々しさを感じました。

ただ、欄干が低くて危険な為か？落下防止ネットが高くまで有って眺めを阻害してる

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 11月4日現在の紅葉…まだ色付き始めたばかりでした。少し気の早い木が数本､紅葉＆黄葉している程度でした。
もう一週間もすれば色鮮やかな木々の晴れ姿が見れそうな気がしました。

長さ100m谷底から90mだそうです。
山口県側から車で渡りきった島根県側に、駐車場があったので、そこへ止めて歩いてみました。
色づき始めた山々が美しいです?
下を見ると、高さに足がすくみます。
谷底に川が流れているのが見えます。
しばらく、歩いて行ったり来たりして風景を楽しみました?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 雨の日で霧がかった中、夕べに参りましたが中々雰囲気が良かったです。
日本でも有数の自殺の名所、心霊スポットとしても挙げられることも多いですが、交通量はそこそこあるし、橋を出てすぐ明かりが付いた民家が軒を連ねるなど、秘境感はあまりありません。
島根方面、山口方面から共に、謎にちゃんと道路が整備されており、広く綺麗な道でアクセスしやすかったです。
