★ ★ ★ ★ ★ コウヤマキは、漢字で「高野槙」と書きます。
紀伊半島 高野山などに多くあったこと等から名付けられたとされる、日本の固有種の様です。
常緑の針葉樹で、樹形は美しく、細い葉も可愛らしく、高木の庭木としても親しまれている様です。種子は球果に出来て、松ぼっくりに似ています。
香りが良く、オイルとしても有用で、専門店等で見かけます。
最近では、この樹の美しい姿が「東京スカイツリー」のモデルとなった事で話題となりました。
館内は樹の香りがほのかに心地よく、
コウヤマキの様々を知ることが出来て、大変ありがたい所です。
森林・林業・樹木・木材の好きな方は必見
地域の山・樹・木材を知るのに、どなたでもきっと有意義な施設でしょう。
ときどき近くの山まで実物を観察するツアーも行われている様です?

Koyamaki is written in Kanji as "Maki Takano".
It seems to be an endemic species of Japan that is said to have been named because it was abundant in Mt. Koya on the Kii Peninsula.
It is an evergreen coniferous tree with a beautiful tree shape and cute small leaves. Seeds are made into cones and resemble pine cones.
It has a good aroma and is useful as an oil, and can be found in specialty stores.
Recently, it became a hot topic because the beautiful appearance of this tree became a model of "Tokyo Sky Tree".
The scent of the tree is slightly pleasant in the hall,
I am very grateful for being able to learn about Koyamaki.
Must-see for those who like forests, forestry, trees and timber
It is surely a meaningful facility for anyone to know the mountains, trees and timber in the area.
It seems that there are occasional tours to observe the real things up to the nearby mountains ?
