★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Established in 1827, this local soba place is quite popular with locals and visitors alike. Portions were reasonably filling for lunch; tempura was light and not particularly oily. Soba had a rich flavor, good texture without being excessively chewy. Simple English menu available; reasonable anti-Covid measures in place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great dining experience here. The staff were very polite, friendly, and helpful. The soba noodle and tempura dishes we ordered were nicely presented and tasted delicious. The sake was great too! It's a busy restaurant in a good location and seems to be popular with locals. We didn't have a reservation for lunch, but we still didn't need to wait long. Overall, it's very good value for money, and we would definitely recommend this restaurant.
