★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 江戸で商家を営んで成功した入野村彦尾出身の鈴木長右衛門により、江戸時代の1662年に創建され、浜松城の裏鬼門を守る守護神として代々城主から信仰されました。運慶作とされる不動明王を本尊として祀り、地元では「彦尾のお不動様」として親しまれてきました。現在では、龍禅寺末の「高野山真言宗 不動院祈願所」として、無住のお堂となっています。
東側にある、水神様を祀る水が涸れない池の横から、御坂八十八段の石段を上った高台にあり、山頂からは南・西・北方向の眺望が開けています。南側にも整備された石段があり、2方向から上り下りができます。私は運動を兼ねてときどきお参りしています。
Founded in 1662 during the Edo period by Choemon Suzuki from Hikoo Irinomura, who succeeded in running a merchant house in Edo, it was worshiped by the castle owner for generations as a guardian deity to protect the back demon gate of Hamamatsu Castle. It enshrines Fudo Myo, who is said to be Unkei's work, as the principal image, and has been popular locally as "Hikoo's Fudo-sama." Today, it is a non-resident temple as the "Koyasan Shingon Sect Fudoin Prayer Center" at the end of Ryuzenji Temple.
On the east side, from the side of the pond where the water that enshrines the water god does not drain, it is on a hill that climbs the stone steps of 88 steps of Misaka, and the view in the south, west, and north directions is open from the mountaintop. There is also a well-maintained stone staircase on the south side, and you can go up and down from two directions. I sometimes visit for exercise.
