D	Daria P on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 今日フロリレージュに行って来た。外苑前のモダンフレンチ料理のレストラン。どの料理も美味しかったけど、熊本の赤べこのステーキがハイライトだった！サービスとしては少し不満のところがあった。とにかく一度行ってみてよかった。 Today we visited a 2-star Michelin restaurant “Florilège”. It was not classic French as I expected, but more like a modern fusion of French cuisine and Japanese one. Yet every single dish tasted very good. And, among all, it is fair to say that the meat dish, a lean steak of Kumamoto Akabeko beef (grass-fed red cow from Mt. Aso in Kumamoto), was the highlight of this meal! However, in terms of the service, we were unpleasantly surprised. The restaurant changed the time of our reservation and did not even bother to call us. To mention, they did send us an ordinary reminder email 24h prior, which we did not open until the very last moment as we remembered the reservation time. The subject of the email literally said that it was just a reminder. Therefore, I do not think this is our fault. Places of this level, first of all, should make a call in advance and confirm a reservation regardless w/wo a change, and obviously not to make a last minute change on their end without a proper notification. To sum up the said above, I would say that this is a stylish place with its own concept and delicious food. But I would not say it is "excellent cooking that is worth a detour” (Michelin guide definition of the 2-star restraurant). There are many other places, without any stars, that will offer you a better deal both in service and taste.
D	Del Ricks on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommended. Went for the 7 course lunch. Food was great, presentation and staff are fabulous. Seated around the kitchen so you can watch the prep. Definitely be back.

At the price though food was average at best. Nothing wowed me. Presentation is beautiful. Also the time between each dish was 20-30min. Its too long. It was a 3.5 hour dinner. Its weird that the exec chef is doing all the cooking. He has a lot of staff but they are just doing prep work and plating. Chef cooks the meat, fish, and garnish. No wonder each dish takes so long. It was a restaurant Ive wanted to visit for a long time but it just didnt do it for me at 40000 yen a person.

Price is good for the quality, but still slightly on the higher end in my opinion (maybe I have way too high of a standard on this bc I know another place in Tokyo that hasn't been noticed by Michelin yet and it's on par with the quality and ambience and the wine list but half the price ?)
A	Ayaka Ioki on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stylish fun dining destination in Aoyama area. Although it’s an open kitchen hall, it feels very private with dark roomy setting. The food is fusion French with Japanese twist. All in all I really enjoyed the freshly and sensitively cooked dishes.

The open kitchen layout allows you to see the food being prepared right in front of you. Despite the busy kitchen in the center, the atmosphere from the counter is cozy and romantic. Perfect for a date. We came for a small celebration and they brought a little message plate at the end with our dessert.
