★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 国指定重要文化財の木造聖観音像があるなんて知りませんでした。
一般公開されていないのは残念ですが、とても古い時代に造られたものがあるなんて行かなければ気づくこともなかったので、よかったと思います。

これはと思い登ってみたら展望台がありました。。が、展望がない展望台とは これいかに？
南側に降りる道があり 30分ほどで一周できますので、プチ山歩きするのに良いでしょう

御立派な石垣に守られた高台に…本堂。
手摺り付き石段を登り…お参り。
寺務所の入口には南天と千両が生えて綺麗だった。
大垣市特別保護樹に指定された…樹齢300年の
クスノキが鎮座していて圧巻∑(ﾟДﾟ)
マジで…トトロが住んでいるんじゃないかと…暫く見上げていた。

紅葉の穴場スポットとして、バスツアーの紅葉ミステリーツアーに選ばれている様です。
大銀杏の黄色を中心に、もみじの重なり具合による濃淡の色、お寺の石垣と白壁の組み合わせが、狭い中で存在していることが特徴だと思ってます。
この地域では赤坂のお茶屋敷と二分する穴場ですよ。
