★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 南に延びる小丘陵の先端に築造された円墳で墳丘の封土が流出して，横穴式石室の天井石が露出し，その上に熊野神社が勧請されている。６世紀後半の築造と推定される。
 A burial mound that was built at the tip of a small hill extending to the south leaks the mound's sealing material, exposing the ceiling stone of the horizontal-hole type stone chamber, and the Kumano Shrine is being solicited on it. It is estimated to have been built in the second half of the 6th century.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 二子塚古墳からほど近くということもあり、歩くにはやや距離があるが二子塚から歩いて行った。ここも古墳地帯の中島地区にある古墳だ。
熊野権現の階段を上り、その先の祠を見るやビックリした。
この古墳は、なんとまあ墳丘が亡くなり剝き出しになった石室の上に、熊野権現の祠が祀ってある。
何とも言えない古墳だ。
