鹿児島の桜島の火山灰に埋没した鳥居を彷彿とさせられる。
A short torii that is buried in a sandy beach.
It is reminiscent of a torii buried in the volcanic ash of Sakurajima in Kagoshima.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Ebisu Shrine has probably been my favorite. The grounds are winding, densely packed with iconography, and wonderfully welcoming to all. The caves on there own were beautiful experiences and they were out enough to make it feel safe. Seeing the statues from throughout the ages was fascinating, including the ones that were so worn that making out the features was a challenge. If you see one shrine while here, make it this one.
