周辺にある池とか沼は堀の名残だそうで、昔住んでた頃は冬に凍った湖面を歩いて叱られたもんです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 城跡かと思って行ってみたら、小学校（東根小学校）で、小学校の塀が城壁になっているのがユニークです。
学校の正門を入ったところには樹齢1500年以上といわれる日本一の大ケヤキもあり、学校のシンボルのようにそびえています。
I thought that it was a castle ruin, but when I went there, the elementary school (Higashine Elementary School) is unique in that the fence of the elementary school is the wall.
At the entrance of the main gate of the school is the largest zelkova tree in Japan, which is said to be over 1500 years old, and rises like a symbol of the school.
