★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この辺りの旧名が下土支田村というそうです。いわゆる長久保道(今は別荘橋通り)は、練馬城(現・豊島園)から春日町を通り、今の光が丘団地を経てこのお地蔵様の前を通り、別荘橋、長久保へと至っていたそうです。そう考えると、昔は一種のランドマークだったのかな。今は周りは建物が多くなったが、昭和40年代までは畑しかなかったから、いかにも村はずれのお地蔵様という感じで目立ってましたからね。今は下手すると地図を頼りに探すか、偶然見かけるようなものじゃありませんか？

When thinking so, was it a kind of landmark in the past? Nowadays there are many buildings, but until the Showa 40's there were only fields, so it was so conspicuous as a Jizo like a village. Isn't it like searching for a map if you're not good now or seeing it accidentally?
