★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 田峯城主 菅沼定忠が長篠の合戦の直後、武田勝頼をつれ落ち延びた際に城代の菅沼定直、今泉道善に入城を拒否されたそうです。その後しばらくして軍勢を引き連れた菅沼定直が田峯城を急襲し、菅沼定直、今泉道善一族を皆殺しにしてこの場所に首を晒したそうです。今では里の人が供養し、地元の小学生が掃除し管理しています。

The villagers now take care of it, and local elementary school students clean and manage it.
