★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 通勤で通っただけです。でもサクラが綺麗でした。何人かが、落ちたサクラの花はビラを箒で掃いていました。大変サクラが美しかったです。お勧めです。

桓武天皇が平安京遷都にあたり、内裏を守護する方位を守る社として、
増強された処だそうです。
平成30年の9月の台風で、境内の樹木が複数折れ、
神輿庫にダメージが発生しました。
他の建屋では被害が無い雰囲気でした。
メディアで紹介された「神木が折れて、拝殿に直撃し大破した。」の大将軍神社と同名にて、
混用されてる方が多々おられますが、
それは「三條大将軍神社」(東山三条)にて、当社ではありません。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 幹線通りから少し入ったところにある。周辺は住宅地で静かな雰囲気。 境内は決して広くはないがちょうどお正月を迎える準備がなされていた。 拝殿・本殿 ともに 比較的珍しい形状をしていて、 本殿は京都市の指定文化財。 いつものことだが 本殿は木枠に囲まれていて全体像がよく見えない。 かろうじて 屋根が 見えると言った状態。 石灯篭の 裏側には 江戸初期の 元号の刻銘があった。 なかなか歴史のある本格的な神社だ。

鳥居から先には多くのお社が立ち並びます。本殿は京都市の登録有形文化財とのことです。社務所には神職さんもいらっしゃいます。
境内には朱色の玉垣で囲った木があります。立札によると、「数百年繁茂した大木が倒れた後、その根元に木の種が落ち、自然に成長した状態であります（実生の木）。」とのことです。
「この現象は子供が親の養分を受け成長することを如実にあらわしており、将に世代受け継ぎの実態でもあります。」とのことです。

立砂があり、参拝はその間を通ってお賽銭を入れる、とのことでした
ちょっとびっくり
ちょうど掃除をされていたので、御朱印もお願いしました

御朱印を頂くことができなかったけど、気持ちいいお参りが出来ました。
